Deerfield Public Library moving to
Cadwell’s Corners
February 7, 2012 - Deerfield, IL–The Deerfield Public
Library Board has announced its plans to temporarily
move the Library into the Cadwell’s Corners shopping
mall. The Board has signed a Letter of Intent and is
negotiating the lease with the property managers. “We
appreciate the cooperative support of the land owner and
property manager, and anticipate a successful completion
of the lease in the near future.” said Ken Abosch, Library
Board President. The Library Board also will seek
approval from the Village of Deerfield.
The 22,000 sq. ft. space was most recently occupied by
Honquest. The former furniture store location will allow
library services to continue during the remodeling and
expansion of the Library’s permanent site.
The Deerfield Public Library is currently located at 920
Waukegan Road in Deerfield. Cadwell’s Corners is 1.3
miles south, at the north east corner of the intersection of
Waukegan Road and Lake Cook Road in Deerfield.

Want to access public library services and materials while
we're closed? It's easy! First, update your account @
DPL. Then, register your library card at the public library
of your choice.
Registering to use other libraries is not required, but
simply suggested for those patrons who would like to be
able to check out books, DVDs and other materials.

REMINDER: NO INTERLIBRARY LOANS
After April 16 patrons will not be able to submit interlibrary
loan requests until we reopen at Cadwell's Corners in
mid-June. Unfortunately, other libraries cannot accept ILL
requests for non-residents.

Dates to
Remember
April 16 - ILL service ends
May 18 - Library closes
May 18 - Deadline to register to
use alternate library
May 18 - Book drops close
Mid-June - Library reopens at
Cadwell's Corners
